Stacey’s Story
Stacey Crowley
MA, CCC-SLP
COMMUNICOLOGIST, NEURAL ARCHITECT, STORYTELLER
Greetings, fellow learner! I am a certified public accountant turned speech language pathologist with over two decades of experience as an educator and professional development facilitator. I am passionate about teaching nervous system literacy — understanding our body’s survival instinct and harnessing that awareness as a superpower for self-management — to young and seasoned minds alike!
My dual roles…
…as Speech Language Pathologist and Reading Specialist enable me to specialize in comprehensive literacy intervention as an Orton-Gillingham tutor. Click the video to hear my 3-minute story about my dad’s dyslexia and why the Science of Reading is critical for preventing educational trauma.
But perhaps most interestingly…
…I survived a bear attack in 2023!
Click the 6-minute Tedx Red Rug Talk below to hear what the terrifying encounter taught me about survival, conflict, and trauma-informed education. It’s a good thing that I have my spare brain Cece as my teaching partner, because I lost my mind for a time during my post-traumatic period. But, surviving the attack gifted me with profound learning that made me even more passionate about teaching nervous system literacy.
Coach or Counselor?
Both help us develop confidence and resilience — but which one is right for you?
